Report Abstracts

On October 11-18, 1992, archaeologists from the Transportation Center at The University of Tennessee-Knoxville conducted an intensive archaeological survey for cultural resources in the proposed I-75 to State Route 371 Connector, Section I-575-1 (26), Cherokee County, Georgia.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archeological survey of various interchanges and Improvements to I-85 from October 21 through October 26, 1992 and March 17 and 18, 1993.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archeological survey of eleven proposed bridge replacements in Coweta County from April 6 through April 12, 1993. The project area consists of the limited right-of-way surrounding each existing bridge in various locations throughout Coweta County.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archeological survey of the proposed Sugarloaf Parkway at I-85 from October 21 through October 26, 1992 and March 17 and 18, 1993.

Historical and architectural investigations were conducted from November of 1992, through January of 1993, at the mill site 9Ck410 on the Little River in Cherokee County, Georgia. The property is on the backwaters of Allatoona Lake and falls under the jurisdiction of the U.S.

This report details the results of a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Rocky Mountain to Pinson 500 kV transmission line corridor. A total of 18 archaeological sites and nine isolated finds were recorded.

During July 1993 cultural resources surveys were conducted in portions of Compartments 170, 185, 190, and 192 in Greene County and Compartment 155 in Putnam County, Georgia, for a total of 270 acres on the Oconee National Forest.
