Report Abstracts

This survey was conducted on behalf of Halvorsen Development Corporation and it consists of a review of publicly held files, a visual site reconnaissance of the project area and a historic resource survey of an area 1/8th-mile from the project area boundaries.

The Secretary of the Army, under authority of Section 4 of the Act of Congress approved 22 December 1944, as amended (16 U.S .C. 460d), and the Federal Water Project Recreation Act, 79 Stat. 214 (16 U. S.C.

On behalf of the City of Royston, the Georgia Mountains Regional Development Center (GMRDC) is requesting a review of potential impacts to historic properties that may result from the proposed sewer and water system improvements at the above referenced location.

A Cultural Resource Survey was conducted on behalf of a Halvorsen Development Corporation on an approximately 40-acre parcel located east of the intersection of I-985 on Sprout Springs Road and west of Porter Road was of Flowery Branch in Hall County, Georgia.

The Henry County Water and Sewerage Authority and the Spalding County Water and Sewerage Authority have proposed the construction of an integrated network of three water supply reservoirs which will be required to meet water demand projections for the year 2030.

The site is located approximately 1,300' east of the Interstate 95 and Laurel Island Parkway interchange, south of and adjacent to Crooked River, near Kingsland, Camden County, Georgia.

Project STP-2807 (1) would consist of intersection improvements at the US 27 /SR 1 and Warthen Road intersection in Walker County. The proposed project would construct left turn lanes on Warthen Road and would install a traffic signal at the US 27/SR 1/Warthen Road intersection.

This report is comprised of correspondences between the Georgia Department of Natural Resources historic Preservation Division and Creative Environmental Solutions, Inc. about an archaeological survey conducted by Creative Environmental Solutions, Inc.

Site 9HE161 is a prehistoric archaeological site exhibiting a primary Late Woodland (Late Swift Creek/Napier) component and a secondary Middle Woodland (Cartersville) component. The site is located approximately 10.8 kilometers (6.7 miles) southeast of Franklin, Georgia, in Heard County.

On-site surveys conducted by the Historic Preservation Section and the Office of the State Archeologist have confirmed that there will not be any historic or archeological sites adversely affected by plans proposed for the NDP Area Number 2, Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.
