Report Abstracts

This project is the construction of a bridge culvert and approaches with a temporary detour over Rocky Creek on S.R. 24. The project is in a corridor 1500 feet long by 100 feet wide.

The proposed project would widen and reconstruct C.R.459 east of Waynesboro. The project as proposed would begin at the intersection of U.S.25/S.R.121 south of Waynesboro then would extend easterly along existing C.R.459 to the Central of Georgia Railroad crossing north of Waynesboro.

The proposed project would provide a borrow pit/wetland mitigation site for the construction of the proposed Waynesboro Bypass. The borrow pit/wetland mitigation site would be located east of S.R.24 and north of C.R.200/Thompson Bridge Road southeast of Waynesboro.

The proposed project would reconstruct and widen S.R.24 in Waynesboro. The project as proposed would begin at the intersection of S.R.121 then would extend southeasterly along existing S.R.24 to a point just southeast of the Waynesboro Bypass.

This project proposes to relocate S.R. 56 from Hephzibah Road/C.R. 1504 to S.R. 23. Relocation would be west of existing S.R. 56. The project would be approximately 2 miles long and would require an approximate 200 foot right-of-way.

The proposed project would consist of plant mix resurfacing of State Route 24 beginning at MP 31.34 in Screven County and ending at MP 3.46 in Burke County. All disturbance will be confined to the area of the existing pavement.

An archaeological survey of a proposed marina site at Strathy Hall Estates, near Richmond Hill, Bryan County, Georgia, was recently conducted by Charles Pearson, a graduate student in the Department of Anthropology, The University of Georgia.

The project area reported hereinafter is the Pembroke Measure Area, Coastal Georgia RC&D Project, located in Bryan County, Georgia. The attached map shows the Pembroke Measure Area as cotermininous with west limits of Pembroke, Georgia.
