The proposed project would consist of the paving of the existing shoulders [4.9 m (1.5 ft)] of SR 112. The project would begin at MP 23.28 and end at MP 3.00 just south of the city of Milledgeville in Baldwin County. All construction will be limited to the existing shoulders.

This project will correct hazardous horizontal alignment on S.R. 212 from M.P. 7.06 to M.P. 7.55 north of Milledgeville. The new centerline will shift slightly south of the existing centerline. A 120 foot wide corridor was surveyed for the length of the project.

In July 1997 Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted Phase II archaeological testing and mapping of fifteen sites at Allatoona Lake, Georgia for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District (USACOE).

The proposed project consists of the removal of the Central of Georgia Railroad bridge over SR 29/US 441 south of Milledgeville and drainage improvements at two other locations in the city of Milledgeville. The existing right-of-way is approximately 18.3 m (60 ft).
